Cefixime is an oral third-generation cephalosporin which has marked in vitro bactericidal activity against a wide variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms. Cefixime is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu).
Softhealth Cefixime Tablet
Softhealth Cefixime Tablet is indicated for the treatment of the following infections when caused by susceptible micro-organisms.
- Upper Respiratory Tract infections; e.g., bacterial Pharyngitis, tonsillitis, otitis media, sinusitis.
- Lower Respiratory Tract infections; e.g., bronchitis. Urinary Tract Infections; e.g. acute cystitis.
- Uncomplicated gonorrhoea.
